OptioLabs Granted Patent for Advanced Mobile Security Solutionjacob Evans
US Patent US9363670 pertains to security measures for preventing access to network resources via wireless beacons
BALTIMORE–OptioLabs, a developer of innovative security solutions for the mobile enterprise, recently announced that the company was awarded US Patent US9363670 for developing robust network resource protection technology at wireless access points. The newly granted patent applies to the company’s OptioCore product, which allows Android OEMs to enjoy a high level of enterprise security and regulatory compliance without sacrificing mobile’s usability and convenience.
Today’s interconnectivity encourages mobile devices to exchange data with wireless access points. Government and enterprise users alike encounter potentially serious data security leakage due to unseen or unintentional connections. The newly patented OptioCore is designed to enforce highly controlled, location specific authentication protocols. Any local wireless beacon can be blocked or required to pass strict authentication before communicating with the enterprise device.
“This patent covers one of the key technologies that enables OptioCore to provide the intelligent, adaptive protection against sophisticated mobile security threats our customers demand and expect,” said Bill Anderson, Chief Product Officer of OptioLabs. “We pride ourselves on bringing next-generation technology to market and look forward to continue offering effective security solutions for the mobile enterprise.”
OptioLabs products include protection against malware attacks and mobile data security, all with an emphasis on compliance demonstration. Other enterprise and government user solutions include securing display information to comply with government regulations and deter eavesdropper threats. OptioLabs satisfies unique and demanding needs across a variety of industries including OEM phone manufacturers, finance, government, energy, healthcare, and enterprise customers. Currently, OptioLabs has been awarded two patents with an additional 14 patents pending.
