OptioCore Recognized for Trust in the Mobile Security Enterprise
BALTIMORE, MD – Nov. 17, 2016 – OptioLabs, a security insight solution provider for the mobile enterprise, today announced that OptioCore, the company’s product that secures Android devices with adaptive policies, was named a finalist in the 2017 SC Awards. OptioCore has advanced in the “Best Mobile Security Solution” category for providing outstanding trust and confidence within the mobile industry. The winners will be announced on February 14, 2017 at the SC Awards Dinner & Presentation held at The Intercontinental San Francisco.
“We are honored to be recognized as a finalist for the 2017 SC Awards alongside a strong list of industry leaders,” said Gregg Smith, CEO of OptioLabs. “Our team strives to develop innovative security products that address the unmet need for adaptive, enterprise-controlled policies that not only ensure data protection, but enhance a full-featured user experience.”
OptioLabs secures mobile devices at a fundamental level for leading mobile OEMs, wireless carriers, enterprise and government organizations. By embedding the software into the mobile device operating systems, OptioLabs aims to provide strong, context-dependent security. More specifically, OptioCore devices enforce work-related security rules only when they are needed, and permit personal unrestricted use when it won’t harm the enterprise. This context-sensitivity means happy users and a safe enterprise.
“The significance of OptioCore enabled devices is that the technology is designed to enforce comprehensive and dynamic policies that prevent untrusted apps from threatening enterprise or government resources,” said Bill Anderson, Chief Product Officer of OptioLabs. “OptioCore gives Android OEMs a way to future-proof their devices with comprehensive controls on Applications, OS services and resources. OEMs can use OptioCore to help ensure their devices remain reliable and secure against unexpected security exploits and software flaws.”
In September of this year, OptioLabs was named a winner of the 2016 CTIA Emerging Technology Award for emerging technology for enterprise mobile security and privacy. Similarly, the mission of the SC Awards is to honor the achievements of companies and information security professionals striving to safeguard businesses, their customers and critical data in North America. Competitors are voted on by two panels of judges comprised of a range of cybersecurity industry luminaries, from current and former CISOs to vendor-neutral consultants or analysts to educators from academic institutions, which are all members of SC’s audience.
